Ever since Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for 3DS, gamers have been wondering if/when the Big N will bring its N64-bound sequel Majora's Mask to three dimensions as well.
IGN recently spoke with franchise producer Eiji Aonuma about the likelihood of a proper remake and his response was baffling to say the least.
After breaking out in laughter, he said, "Please write that I laughed. Don’t make it sound like I laughed because I was troubled or inconvenienced or put out. I don’t want them to read anything into it. But if you want to say that I laughed, I think that would be a good answer."
Naturally, the outlet pried a bit further, hoping to get a better idea of how exactly to interpret his response. In typical Nintendo fashion, Aonuma decided to leave fans hanging, saying, "it’s really up to them. If they want to interpret my laughter as, ‘yeah, we’re making it’ or ‘no, we’re not,’ I guess that’s really up to them."
What do you make of his odd response? Do you think we'll ever get a remake of Majora's Mask? More importantly, do you even want one? I know I do! As always, comment below with your thoughts.
