Warcraft 3 Reforged has had a lot of problems, and it seems that both fans and critics are fed up with it. The Warcraft 3 remake is now officially the worst Blizzard game to date.
The game’s score on Metacritic is shamefully low, especially when compared against the successes of Blizzard Entertainment’s other titles. It boasts 59/100 Metascore and a 0.6/10 User Score at the time of writing.

As a point of comparison, here are the Metascore and User Scores for some of Blizzard’s notable games:
- Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft – 88 Metascore, 5.9 User Score
- Overwatch – 91 Metascore, 6.6 User Score
- Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty – 93 Metascore, 8.3 User Score
- Starcraft Remastered – 85 Metascore, 7.7 User Score
- Warcraft 3 Reforged – 59 Metascore, 0.6 User Score
The potential reasons for the lower scores are myriad. Players reported visual downgrades for the release version as compared to its original reveal at Blizzcon. This and other factors led to Blizzard Entertainment offering refunds.
