Monster Hunter Finally Coming to PlayStation Vita

One of the few reasons the PSP proved to be such a success for Sony was the presence of Monster Hunter on the platform. For those that don't already know, this co-op action role-playing series from Capcom is basically Japan's Call of Duty.

However, since the launch of the PlayStation Vita, not a single entry in the series has graced the handheld, with all that love going to Nintendo and its 3DS. Fortunately for Vita owners that's about to change, as Capcom has announced Monster Hunter: Frontier G for Vita.

The game will hit the device sometime next year in Japan, and will also be headed to Wii U and PS3. In fact, Frontier G will be able to communicate with the PlayStation 3 version, allowing players to use their PS3 data on the Vita version.

Again, this game is only confirmed for release in Japan, so keep that in mind. That said, hopefully this will help boost interest in Sony's struggling platform as Nintendo's 3DS continues to dominate the handheld market.
