During today’s State of Play stream, we got confirmation of several bonuses that’ll be available in Ghost of Tsushima upon launch. Photo Mode, Samurai Cinema Mode, and a Japanese dub option will be included when the game releases in July.
Ghost of Tsushima Photo Mode
The photo mode in Ghost of Tsushima will allow a standard array of options found in other games. Depth of field, color grading, orbit, pan, tilt, roll, and zoom are all available here.

How this mode stands out is the amount of control players will have over the environment. Wind direction and speed, particle effects like blowing leaves, and your character’s expression are all customizable, so you can get that perfect shot.
Ghost of Tsushima Japanese Voice Dub
One feature that fans repeatedly asked Sucker Punch for is a Japanese dub. The game’s trailer at E3 2018 featured Japanese vocals, but there was some doubt as to whether the game would receive a full dub. Studio co-founder Chris Zimmerman stated that time constraints might prevent the team from recording Japanese voiceovers.
Fortunately, it was confirmed during the State of Play that Ghost of Tsushima will be getting a Japanese voice option. It seems like the Japanese language pack will be released at launch, so you won’t have to wait to get an authentic experience.
Ghost of Tsushima Samurai Cinema Mode
If you’re into the iconic films of Akira Kurosawa, you’ll be excited about Ghost of Tsushima‘s Samurai Cinema Mode. Samurai Cinema Mode gives the game a black and white filter and softens the image. It also adds a film grain, which, when paired with the filter, provides the game with a look like an old movie print.
Samurai Cinema Mode is a fun addition to Ghost of Tsushima. My guess is fans are going to create some fantastic shots by pairing it with Photo Mode.
