Zelda 25th Anniversary To Go Without A Collection

Given the success of the Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition for Wii, an equivalent collection for Zelda's 25th Anniversary would seem as obvious as having a Master Sword in a Zelda game. But not so, according to the latest Iwata Asks segment with Miyamoto on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Nintendo of America proposed a Collector's Pack for Zelda's 25th Anniversary, but Miyamoto and Iwata rejected the idea claiming that it wasn't very Nintendo-like to release two anniversary packs so close together, two years in a row. Nintendo is still celebrating the occasion with the international Zelda orchestral concerts, a free WiiWare download for Four Swords, and a gold-colored Wii Remote Plus for Skyward Sword.
