Despite having a 500GB hard drive, the amount of available free space to download apps and games on Xbox One is significantly less.
The folks over at IGN tested the limits of the Xbox One's hard drive and found out that at 362GB it couldn't handle another 3GB game download. As such, we can conclude that the amount of available free space on the device is somewhere between 362GB and 365GB.
Currently, Microsoft has no solution for this, as replacing the internal space will void one's warranty. The company has said that external hard drive support via USB 3.0 will be coming, but we currently have no firm date on when that will be available.
Do you think the device's limited hard drive space will pose a major problem going forward? Was it a mistake to not allow gamers to change the internal storage? Comment below with your thoughts.
