The Batman launches a creepy Riddler game with rewards

A new The Batman Riddler website has launched, which seems to be part of an alternate-reality game marketing the movie — along with giving various rewards to fans who answer the various riddles on offer. A simple Google search reveals that these riddles are original, so hopefully any fans have found their way here as they can find all The Batman riddle answers below along with the rewards they can get — and all the website’s secrets.

The answers to The Batman Riddler website riddles are:

  • “Those who make me are likely to break me” — Law
  • “I can be easy or a dead end. Careful when you cross me”— Street
  • “What’s black and blue and dead all over?” — Batman
The website itself can be found here. It was first discovered earlier this month when a coded riddle was spotted on a promotional standee for the movie, which when uncoded read “you are el rata alada” — meaning “the winged rat,” but fans noticed that “you are el” could mean URL, leading to the website. The update happened when director Matt Reeves tweeted the coded riddle out yesterday.

The website is presented as a text conversation between the player and The Riddler with the player offering yes or no responses and proper answers to the above three riddles. The third riddle is a reference to a line in the DC Fandome trailer. The Riddler berates the player if they get a question wrong or leave the page in search of answers. The first reward is a piece of fake police art suggesting Batman will be hunted by the police at some point.

The second reward comes if the player returns to the page after answering the questions correctly. The Riddler asks about the Iceberg Lounge, which is owned by The Penguin, then gives another picture (above) with a new code on it. This translates as the same as Riddler’s final line: “just stay vigilant.” Riddler promises to have more riddles and rewards soon, so expect the ARG to continue.

The Batman opens on March 4, 2022.
