Gran Turismo 7 Microtransactions Script Farm Credits

Gran Turismo 7 Fans Resist Microtransactions by Using Credit-Farming Script

In response to the controversial Gran Turismo 7 patch that nerfed credit payouts, several fans have resorted to using a credit-farming script that automatically grinds out credits without them having to touch a controller at all. While players would have been incentivized to use a script like this before the patch, some are using the patch now to resist Gran Turismo 7 microtransactions and the much steeper grind this installment has in comparison to other Gran Turismo 7 titles.

How to use the Gran Turismo 7 script to grind credits?

First off, a fair warning: Polyphony Digital has not yet cracked down on players using a cheat like this, and using the script could be breaking the Terms of Service contract players need to sign before playing the game. Your progress and account could be in jeopardy by installing and using it.

A user on PSN Profiles named Septomor has released a method to farm credits in Gran Turismo 7 in a lengthy post, stating that a part of the reason for its creation was to protest what he feels to be an “enormous grind”:

“I know with nerfs people are not happy and are probably turned off by the enormous grind, or at least I am. So here are some scripts, created to adjust for those nerfs.”

Currently, the script only works on Windows and asks the user to install AutoHotKey (if you want to edit the script), PS4 Remote Play, and several pre-written scripts. Septomor has laid out a handy guide that uses the Tomahawk S VGT with specific tuning settings and the Pan American Championship race to farm the credits.

According to one user in the thread, the script earns approximately 625k credits per hour which sums up to around 15 million credits per day. Using the current prices for Gran Turismo 7 microtransactions, that would have a value of about $150 USD.

In other news, Gran Turismo 7 is continuing to get review-bombed on Metacritic. In fact, at the time of this writing, the user rating has dropped even further from 3.2/10 to 1.8/10. That said, Gran Turismo 7 is still at the top of the charts in the UK.
