Earlier today Microsoft announced Xbox One's 2013 sales figures and in its official statement on Xbox Wire the company rattled off a bunch of games that would be hitting the platform this year. Interestingly enough, Halo for Xbox One was not one of them.
In an effort to assuage gamers' fears, Microsoft’s Rob Semsey posted a message on Twitter that has since cleared up the confusion. "Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm," he said.
Well, this flies in the face of my recent prediction that the next entry in the Halo franchise (can we please just call it Halo 5?) will be delayed to 2015. Then again, there's still plenty of time for 343 Industries to push back its release. Don't get me wrong, as a huge Halo fan, I want to see what's next for the franchise as much as the next guy, but I also don't want it to be a rushed job.
