I can't wait for this game that I know nothing about. It's called Ready to Run and it's headed to PlayStation 4 this year. Here's a trailer:
Are you excited? No. Is that because this trailer showed effectively nothing? Is it because the trailer didn't even show the car going around a race track, as it would in the game? Here's how I would have reacted if Beatshapers, the developer, had introduced me to Ready to Run face-to-face.
Beatshapers: "Hey guys, we're announcing this brand new video game, here's what it looks like…"
*Watches 30 second trailer*
Me: "That was basically a f***ing screenshot! Why the hell would you call that a trailer?"
Beatshapers: "Jeez, sorry, we're working on the game right now and we don't have a hard release date yet, but we're really excited and we wanted to share our new project with everyone, especially since the PlayStation 4 is doing so well right now. Plus, IGN offered to make it a big deal if we agreed to give them the scoop."
Me: "Oh, OK. That's lame."
Beatshapers: "What's lame, Ready to Run? Or the whole thing about IGN?"
Me: "…. Yes."
**And no, I've never played this game. It might just be our next 4.5/5 review.
