Just yesterday, Sega announced a brand-new Sonic title for Wii U and 3DS. It's called Sonic Boom and features a startlingly redesigned cast. But aside from Sega's new visual approach, a number of new details have emerged about the game, including the fact that the Wii U version won't have a multiplayer mode.
In an interview with Nintendo World Report, Sega's Stephen Frost had a number of illuminating bits of information to share about Sonic's upcoming outing, including the fact that CryEngine 3 tech is being used in the game's development. In addition, the game's cast of characters can be changed on the fly and additional characters will likely be playable as well.
Frost also went on to say that more information about the game will be coming at E3, so stay tuned for more on Sonic's next big outing in the weeks and months to come.
