Microsoft has ended its subsidized Xbox 360 console deal in the United States.
For the past couple of years, the Big M has been offering those willing to commit to a two-year Xbox Live subscription a cheaper entry fee into the world of Xbox. For just $99, gamers could pick up an Xbox 360 bundled with Kinect so long as they paid a set subscription fee for Microsoft's online service.
That is no longer the case, however, as the company has quietly ended the offer, The Wall Street Journal reports.
"This program was intended to be a pilot experiment from the start, and Microsoft routinely adjusts the mix of offers available to its customers and this change was simply standard business practice," company spokesperson David Dennis explained.
I guess it didn't take off like Microsoft had hoped.
