Capcom has unveiled the final playable fighter added to the roster in Ultra Street Fighter IV, the penultimate release of the genre-defining and community-invigorating franchise, but you'll be forgiven if you don't recognize Decapre.
Capcom says that the character originally appeared as a non-playable character in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Decapre was originally one of M. Bison's Dolls, but now you can take your opponent to task with her scramble moves and powerful psycho attacks.
Watch the trailer above for a better explanation of Decapre's role and a demonstration of her abilities. While she looks a lot like Cammy, her moves are totally different. Her mask apparently hides a burn mark, but it won't protect her from the likes of Hugo, Poison, Elena, and Rolento, the other four characters added to Street Fighter IV via the Ultra expansion.
Capcom reminds us that the entire cast will be available as downloadable content if you already own Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. The DLC will be available across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms, but a retail version will also be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers for $39.99.
Is this the final update to Street Fighter IV? Is Street Fighter V in the works for next-generation consoles?
