Mythic Entertainment, the studio behind titles like Dark Age of Camelot and most recently the Dungeon Keeper mobile fiasco that had fans and newcomers to the franchise up in arms, has been closed by publisher Electronic Arts.
Kotaku reached EA on the subject and received the following note:
We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.
While people likely won't remember the studio for Dungeon Keeper, many fans will think back on the studio's series of Warhammer games or even Aliens Online fondly. We hope everyone at Mythic finds new work soon.
