Sega has lifted the lid on a few more details regarding its upcoming Nintendo-exclusive Sonic games, which are set to arrive on 3DS and Wii U later this year.
Both the console and handheld entries have finally received official titles, sub-headings and all. The Wii U version will be called Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric while 3DS game will bear the Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal moniker.
On a somewhat related note, I really hope Nintendo does the same for its duo of Smash Bros. games during its E3 Digital Event next week. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS are simply too generic to be the final titles.
But enough of tangent-introducing bellyaching, as Sega had more to share than just the game's titles. Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal will be two completely different experience, with the former being more of an action-adventure rather than a classic platformer, which just so happens to better describe the latter.
Stay tuned for more news on Sonic Boom, as we're sure to hear more about this pair of Nintendo-exclusive games next week at E3.
