Hundreds of games were submitted to the Entertainment Software Association for consideration in its E3 2014 College Game Competition, but only five finalists made it to the show after a rigid selection process.
Vinyl gives players a funky looking way of interacting with their music, while Paper Dream offers up classroom daydreams in Star Fox-style gameplay with vivid environments. Prisma gives players sidescrolling levels with different abilities tied to alternate dimensions, while Data Helix presents players with encryption puzzles. Finally, Port of Call gives players a first-person adventure to explore with a variety of characters to meet.
In the end, the Entertainment Software Association chose Prisma. Check out the video above for gameplay and ESA President Michael D. Gallagher's presentation of the award.
