September's sales numbers are in and yet again PlayStation 4 continues to dominate the console landscape.
Thanks to the release of Destiny, which was marketed to be "best on PS4," Sony's "new-gen" console sold more units this past month than any other month this year. In fact, GTTV's Geoff Keighley confirmed on Twitter that "PlayStation 4 won the month of September, nearly tripling August sales."
In a statement from Sony, the company touted that "Destiny broke PlayStation Network sales records across several categories, taking the top spot for pre-orders, day one sales, and week one sales." Additionally, "one month after the game's launch, engagement among PlayStation fans continues to soar, as Destiny is the most-played title on the PlayStation 4 system with 125 million hours of gameplay."
With the impending releases of Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, two big Xbox One exclusives, do you think Microsoft has a chance of gaining a bit of ground over the next two months, or is PlayStation 4 simply an unstoppable force that can't be challenged?
