Warner Bros Games and Monolith Productions have issued a new content update for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor which adds a new challenge mode and a new epic rune to add to your equipment.
Additionally, players can now charge through Mordor as Lithariel, who will lead the battle against the Dark Lord's army. You'll recognize Lithariel from the game's primary campaign. Power of Defiance, the new game mode added to Shadow of Mordor, pits you against Sauron's Warchiefs without Wraith abilities or any counter opportunities when you're in a last-hit situation.
In other words, it'll only add to the difficulty you've probably encountered in Mordor's huge orc battles. Defiant to the End, the epic rune available as a reward in this mode, sort of undoes that challenge by offering a secondary Last Chance opportunity.
