Sony Compensates for PSN Downtime With Five Free Days of PS Plus

In an effort to restore good will among its user base following a major network outage this past weekend, Sony is giving PlayStation users five free days of PlayStation Plus

"Since access to PlayStation Network was impacted during the holidays, we wanted to show our appreciation for your patience by offering all PlayStation Plus members that had an active membership or free trial on December 25th a membership extension of five days," the company explained in a post on PlayStation Blog.

Additionally, Sony will be offering a one-time discount code later this month that will provide gamers with a ten percent price slash on a total cart purchase from the PlayStation Store. Not too shabby.

Are you still sore over the PlayStation Network outage this past week? Does this help make up for it?
