Fallout 4 is a massive game, and it's only getting bigger. Every day over 100 mods are being published to the internet that give PC players new options for tailoring the game to their tastes. Soon, Xbox One players will have the same luxury.
There are already a ton of mods ready to be downloaded and installed for Fallout 4. Below are the 10 that you should consider getting.
1. The Eyes of Beauty
Say goodbye to the soulless eyes of Fallout 4. This mod swaps out the eye textures with higher resolution files that breathe life into characters during cutscenes.
2. Batch File All the Junk
This isn't a mod so much as it's a script. What it'll do is throw more than a dozen 'player.additem' lines into your console to give you 1,000 of every crafting material. Forget salvaging. Using this, you will have all the materials you need to build an amazing settlement.
3. Enhanced Wasteland
The default configuration for Fallout 4 isn't bad, but the colors can appear very muted. This SweetFX preset, which was the first to ever hit the internet, goes a long way toward making the game appear more vibrant.
4. Fallout 4 Configuration Tool
Did you know that Fallout 4 has mouse acceleration? Get rid of that garbage and fine-tune your experience with this tool that provides a large array of options that normally require console commands to alter.
5. Immersive Attire Fix
This mod will make your female character look a whole lot better. No, it's not a nude mod, but it's pretty close. It's "immersive". That's all you need to know.
6. Towbie's Realistic Firearms
Some of the weapons in Fallout 4 sound a bit silly. This mod fixes that by replacing several of the sound files with more lifelike sounds for the Hunting Rifle, Pipe Rifle, and more. It's worth noting that the files don't overwrite your existing ones, so if you end up not liking it you can rewind back to default easily.
7. Water Enhancement Textures
This is one of the first among many mods that will be released that directly improve the texture quality of Fallout 4. If you're all about enjoying your games with the best graphics possible, this is a good choice. Just try not to get radiation sickness while swimming in the water.
8. Remove Power Armor Drain
If you're a user of Power Armor, this mod is a must. It removes the core drain when using the armor so that you can stay in it as long as you want without becoming gimped.
9. Carry Weight Modifications
Tired of being limited to only so much inventory? Install this mod and you'll be able to carry as many weapons as you want. You won't have to sacrifice perk points for Strength, either.
10. Enhanced Blood Textures
While the gore in Fallout 4 is okay, it could be better. This mod makes sure that the blood splatters left behind when you decapitate someone with a bullet using V.A.T.S. are as exaggerated and detailed as possible.
