Winner: Devolver Digital
I’m sure some of you might be scratching your head, asking yourself who the hell Digital Devolver is, especially if you're not used to the indie scene. But this publisher is responsible for supporting indie development since 2009, with Serious Sam and Hotline Miami being its call to fame. This year, they have published the likes of the manly squad Broforce, the satirical clown-hugging Dropsy, and the addictive skateboarding title OlliOlli2. You also can’t count out the recent comical release of Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star or the extended The Talos Principle: Road to Gehanna. Devolver Digital may be small compared to the other formidable nominees in the category, but it packs a mighty punch.
