Cross-Play Podcast Episode 6: Warmind and Peace

The Cross-Play podcast is back for episode 6, with this week’s episode seeing the gang discuss why Destiny 2 Warmind did/didn’t suck, diving into Sony’s E3 2018 plans, and discussing why Nintendo makes the weirdest business decisions ever. On top of this, Chandler, Cameron, Jason, and Paul also wrack their brains over why games are so damn expensive to make these days, following the news that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is going to cost $100 million. You won’t find another podcast that covers this many topics in the space of a lunch break.

In an oddly prescient turn of events, the gang also discusses Cliff Bleszinski and Boss Key Productions, just a few hours before it was announced that the studio had been unceremoniously shut down. We don’t want to say that we’re mind-readers, but we’re definitely mind-readers.

On top of this, we also offered our thoughts on Days Gone, leading to a larger discussion about why open-world games are so off-putting these days. We also discuss Platinum Games’ unannounced, top-secret project, the news that Final Fantasy VII Remake may be pushed back to 2023, and the Rage 2 trailer reveal. Needless to say, there was a lot to get through this week!

As always, Cross-Play is a collaboration between GameRevolution and our friends over at PlayStation LifeStyle. One of the timeliest podcasts around, each episode focuses on the latest and greatest news from the gaming industry, along with offering a closer look at upcoming games you should have on your radar.
