It’s the end of 2018, so as we close out the year we’ve asked our editors what their New Year’s Eve plans are. With GR having had an excellent year, our team is happily celebrating a job well done as we round off the past 365 days of hard work, heading into 2019 with a bunch of exciting plans up our sleeves.
How are you celebrating this New Year’s Eve? Let us know in the comments section below, and as always we’ll feature our favorite response in tomorrow’s Tell GR.
Paul Tamburro, executive editor: “2018 has been one of my favorite years, and I’m looking forward to closing it out on a high. This means drinking a bunch of whisky and waking up in 2019 gnawing on cold pizza. There’s no other way to celebrate IMO.”
Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “I’m gonna be celebrating New Year’s Eve by streaming some Resident Evil and relaxing with my fiancée. It’s been a great year, both for myself, and GR, so it’ll be nice to just reflect on 2018 and revel in the satisfaction of a job well done.”
Mack Ashworth, lead editor: “I’m celebrating New Year’s Eve with my girlfriend’s family. I need to set up a fitness tracker or two, some Amazon products, and probably troubleshoot a laptop. Standard stuff for the holiday period, I feel!”
Bradley Russell, news editor: “I’m one of those miserly types who isn’t all that bothered when it comes to New Year’s Eve. I’ll probably just kick back and take advantage of the time off by playing some of the games I got over the holiday period and probably a round or two of Cards Against Humanity with friends and family”
Michael Leri, features editor: “It looks like I’m actually doing something for New Year’s Eve, which is disappointing because I love doing nothing. My girlfriend and I are going to some party thing here in the city to celebrate the new year along with our friend’s 30th birthday. Hopefully being forced to celebrate this year will mean that 2019 won’t be a huge toilet on fire.”
