A couple weeks ago it was reported that, alongside XCOM 2, the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is performing very well. Although initial details pointed toward a successful debut on Steam, it's exceeded expectations.
Rise of the Tomb Raider's PC version is outperforming its original Xbox One debut when comparing digital sales. Within its first month the PC version accumulated "three times as many sales", pushing total units sold to beyond the two million mark.
Rise of the Tomb Raider's modest showing last November has been mostly blamed on its release date which fell on the same day as Fallout 4, in addition to its console exclusivity.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was one of our highest rated games of 2015, and a nominee for game of the year. It will arrive on PS4 later this year.
