Electronic Arts and Big Game Studios have announced three limited edition versions of the upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the preview of which I've just posted today. How prophetic!
The Special Edition retails for $80 and includes a world map on parchment, a custom seven-piece dice set (ready for D&D sessions), all 40 Destiny Cards from the game, and the soundtrack composed by Grant Kirkhope.
Those willing to part with $200 (this is turning into a telethon for PBS…) for the Collector's Edition will receive all the items in the Special Edition as well as a $125 Prismere Troll figurine of a solid resin troll that stands at 12.5" made by the creature designer Todd McFarlane, and a concept art lithograph signed by lead designer Ken Rolston. The lithograph is limited to 1,000 units whereas the Collector's Edition is limited to 700 units.
And finally, drum roll please, at $275, the Signature Edition (pictured above) will include everything in the Special Edition and Collector's Edtion, plus an individually-numbered custom sketch by Todd McFarlane and will have more signature variety on the remaining 300 Prismere Trolls with Todd McFarlane, universe creator R.A. Salvatore, or Curt Schilling. The Signature Edition is likewise limited to 300 units.
