Assassin's Creed Rogue PS4 Xbox One

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is Coming to PS4 and Xbox One in March

Ubisoft is finally rectifying a terrible mistake that was made back in late 2014 when it released Assassin’s Creed Rogue on the last generation of consoles. Rogue will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One later this spring on March 20th, 2018. Until now, it has been stuck on the Xbox 360 and PS3 console-wise.

This is great news, as Rogue is generally well-received despite its originally odd release exclusively on old consoles. The announcement was made on the official Ubisoft YouTube with a release of a teaser trailer announcing the remaster of this underrated Assassin’s Creed game. It is a rather brief teaser with little gameplay at all, mostly there to announce the remaster.

Originally, Ubisoft made the interesting and unique decision to release two Assassin’s Creed games on the same day back in 2014 when Rogue first came out. The previous generation of consoles had Rogue, while the relatively new PS4 and Xbox One consoles unfortunately had the generally disliked Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Rogue follows Shay, a former Assassin from the Brotherhood featured in just about every other Assassin’s Creed game, who becomes a traitorous Templar and kills the very same people he once was a part of. It is a more mature and serious anti-hero take on the typical Assassin’s Creed, one that Ubisoft bills as the “darkest chapter of the Brotherhood” in its official announcement of the remaster.

You’ll be able to take out your fellow Assassins in Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered when it finally releases for PS4 and Xbox One on March 20th, 2018. There are a couple of months still until it releases, so there is sure to be more information on the way. Is this an Assassin’s Creed title you liked? For those that never played it, are you excited to finally get your hands on it? Let us know.
