For Honor Season 5 is Out Today and Brings Major Changes

For Honor is celebrating its one year anniversary by launching Season 5. Season 5 Age of Wolves was released on February 15th, 2018.

The biggest feature included in Season 5 Age of Wolves is the implementation of dedicated servers. It will be deployed for all PvP game modes and enhance the experience. The dedicated servers will be released on February 19th for the PC whereas consoles are expected to receive them at a later date.

The developer focused on major updates to heroes of the current roster as well as global fight changes which affect overall gameplay. Firstly, the For Honor team has listened to the players and have updated both the Kensei and Conqueror move-sets with new moves and animations to improve efficiency on the battlefield. Additionally, Berserker, Nobushi, and Higlander have been given several major balancing updates.

The team has updated the fighting system for players to aim for a more offensive mindset and lower the prevalence of defensive behavior during PvP combat. Season 5 of For Honor also grants more options for player progression, by introducing refined gear and experience boosts. Players can now maximize their gear sets even further with the addition of Refined Legendary weapons and armor. Players can also now spend their Salvage, which is gathered by dismantling unwanted gear, in exchange for an XP boost. These boosts can be applied before any match.

A new Training Mode has been added to For Honor in Season 5. Players can now learn the basics of the art of battle in the apprentice and warrior trials, to hone their fighting skills. Season veterans who are confident with their skills can participate in the arena mode to practice against specific Heroes and moves. Other minor updates include the addition of multiple mood effects, which players can equip on each of their executions and emotes slots, and 4v4 Ranked play is now available through Tribute. Finally, strategic points have been added to the World Map. Ownership of these strategic points yield bonuses for either XP, loot and war assets.

For Honor is a hack and slash fighting game developed and published by Ubisoft. It was released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in February 2017. For more information on Season 5 Age of Wolves or details of the patch notes, head on over here.
