PUBG Miramar Xbox One

PUBG Miramar Map Now Live on Xbox One

It’s about time PUBG Xbox players got their just des(s)erts. The game’s second map, Miramar, is now live as of May 24, and it also comes with a whole host of changes to the game. Boasting ‘extreme, elevated terrain and tall buildings’, Miramar takes its cue from Spaghetti Westerns of old, dashed in with a little bit of Sicario for good measure. If nothing else, it’s a welcome change of pace from Erangel, the first PUBG map.

Xbox One players have had to wait a good few weeks to catch up to their PC brethren when it comes to making their way around Miramar. They’ll be pleased to know, then, that the patch notes that accompany it have helped steady their experience somewhat. If you wish, you can read the patch notes in full here or see the main performance fixes below.

PUBG Xbox Miramar Update Patch Notes:

  • The free-fall and parachuting process has been optimized, leading to performance improvements during the initial stages of each game.
  • The world loading process has been optimized, allowing buildings and their interiors to load simultaneously and reducing the overall rendering time.
  • The handling of resources for unseen nearby characters’ movements has been optimized to improve performance of the game.
  • Handling resources of equipping and unequipping items of unseen nearby characters have been optimized to improve performance during the early game and to reduce the likelihood of crashes
  • Character inventory loading has been optimized, improving response time when opening inventory and reducing crashing.
  • Unoccupied vehicles/boats have been optimized to increase the overall performance of the game.

As well as the vitally important performance fixes, there are now also Emotes on Xbox One, should you want to taunt your opponent through the medium of dance. Go on, you know you want to.

If you want to fire up Miramar on Xbox in search of some chicken dinners, simply boot up your copy of PUBG and download the latest update.
