Battlefield 5 PC Requirements: What PC Setup Do You Need?

DICE has revealed part of the Battlefield 5 PC requirements, which should give users plenty of time to get their rigs ready for the October 19 release date. PC players have been treated to the “Minimum” specification, which is the lowest tier and features the least powerful hardware. You’ll be needing to make sure that you at least meet the minimum specs for a playable experience. If your hardware falls below this spec list, Battlefield 5 will likely stutter and look terrible.

Battlefield 5 PC Requirements: Minimum Requirements

The minimum Battlefield 5 PC requirements can be found below. You’ll see both AMD and Intel/Nvidia CPUs and GPUs have been listed, giving all teams an idea of what hardware they need to be packing.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
  • Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): nVidia GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
  • DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 50GB

Those are some promising minimum specs. Battlefield is a franchise that has always brought a level of polish to PC. It looks like DICE is hoping to cater to a larger pool of players by making the minimum specs easier to meet.

Battlefield 5 PC Requirements: Running the Game at Maximum Settings

Battlefield 5 PC Requirements

We don’t yet know the Battlefield 5 max settings requirements, but we expect to see a top-tier graphics card and high core count CPU needed for ultra details. I’ve personally found that a move to an 8-core Ryzen 7 1700 has really helped reduce stutter in Battlefield 1, as my i5 3570K failed to keep up in 64-player matches.

Battlefield 5 is no doubt going to be one of the best-looking games releasing this year. Here’s hoping we get some new GPU releases to make for an easy upgrade!
