Shaq Fu A Legend Reborn may not be the sequel anyone asked for, but it is out today and some lucky Nintendo Switch owners can grab it as a free download. That’s right. 100% free. That is, as long as you bought NBA Playgrounds before its big update. For those unaware, NBA Playgrounds had a disastrous launch on the Switch, and as a treat for “Fu’ing” that release up, Saber Interactive promised to give A Legend Reborn away for free.
While the appetite for a sequel to one of the worst games ever made may be questionable, free goodies are always appreciated. NBA Playgrounds was a disaster upon its initial release on the Switch. A buggy, unplayable mess that gathered many complaints from players around the world. The game didn’t even launch with an online mode. They truly Fu’d it up.

If you bought the Switch version of NBA Playgrounds by 10 June 2017 you can download A Legend Reborn for free. Just head on over to the eShop and check whether or not it gives you a 100% discount. It should already be discounted if you meet Saber’s requirements.

This is a great deal no matter how you look at it. But act fast. You only have until the 5th of July to download it at no extra cost. If you’re after some more Shaq in your life, then you better act fast.
Promising not to Fu it up, A Legend Reborn is the sequel to the much-maligned 1994 beat ’em up: Shaq Fu. In the 3D sequel, Shaq returns to the streets to dish out all sorts of pain. You’ll fight monsters from Hell and Hollywood dealing out crushing combos to best your foes. Equip baseball bats, katanas, and shuriken in an attempt to restore Shaq’s legacy after the Shaq Fu atrocity.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is out today on PS4, Xbox One, Steam and Nintendo Switch.
