Spider-Man PS4 Villains: Who’s Confirmed to Face Spidey?

As the old adage goes, a hero is only as good as the villains they’re up against us. Thankfully, Spider-Man on PS4 is already full to the brim with moustache-twirling megalomaniacs and nefarious ne’er-do-wells. But what other Spider-Man PS4 villains will rear their ugly head, and which ones have been confirmed thus far? Let’s run down the rogues’ gallery, as well as sorting through a few rumors and other likely candidates.

Spider-Man PS4 Villains: Confirmed List of Villains (So Far)

As of writing, the list of confirmed Spider-Man PS4 villains are as follows:

  • Mister Negative
  • Kingpin
  • Electro
  • Shocker
  • Scorpion
  • Rhino
  • Vulture

The first two were confirmed during the game’s E3 2017 reveal, with the remaining quintet revealed as part of the Sinister Six during Spider-Man PS4’s E3 2018 gameplay trailer. There are, however, more to come.

Spider-Man PS4 Villains: Rumors

The big takeaway from the aforementioned E3 2018 trailer is the appearance of a mysterious villain, who lie tantalizingly out-of-shot over a fallen Spider-Man. The smart money would be on Doctor Octopus, who typically leads the Sinister Six group of supervillains in the comics.

However, Venom is unlikely to make an appearance, nor is Carnage. Insomniac has repeatedly said on more than one occasion that symbiotes would not be in the game, thus ruling out the deadly duo.

Spider-Man PS4 Villains: Possible Inclusions

Despite already having a stacked roster of villains, Peter Parker could always use an extra foe or two to face off against. The likes of Kraven and Mysterio are more than likely to be included and, you never know, the possibility of single-player DLC opens up many possible avenues, such as the Green Goblin, Hobgoblin or Alistair Smythe and his Spider-Slayer. Heck, maybe some non-Spidey villains might show their face. I couldn’t say no to Loki or Doctor Doom dropping into the Big Apple.
