The long awaited HD re-release of Kingdom Hearts is finally nearing its launch… in Japan. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix will hit Japanese store shelves on March 14th exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
The high-def package includes the original Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and the cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
There's still no official confirmation from Square whether or not we'll be seeing this HD collection outside of Japan, but considering the series' popularity in North America and Europe, I can't imagine why they wouldn't bring it to other territories. Here's to hoping that we get an HD re-release of Kingdom Hearts II as well.
