The Power Rangers Street Fighter crossover short film is now available to watch on YouTube. It was produced by Bat in the Sun in collaboration with Lionsgate, Capcom, Hasbro, and Power Rangers Legacy Wars developer nWay Games. Power Rangers Legacy Wars Street Fighter Showdown was created to coincide with a limited in-game event currently ongoing in the mobile game, which is available to download on both Android and iOS platforms.
The Power Rangers Street Fighter crossover short film introduces the first ever Street Fighter character as a Power Ranger, named the Ryu Ranger. In the film, Power Rangers villain Rita Repula teams up with Street Fighter antagonist M. Bison. It stars Jason David Frank and Ciara Hanna as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers green ranger Tommy Oliver and Power Rangers Megaforce yellow ranger Gia Moran. They’re joined by iconic Street Fighter characters Ryu and Chun Li.
Fans of the Power Rangers franchise will be glad to see cameos from the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, Time Force Pink Ranger, Dino Thunder Black Ranger, and more. All of these rangers have been corrupted to go up against the four main protagonists of the short film. For the ending of the crossover, fans will have to continue experiencing the Power Rangers Street Fighter crossover in Power Rangers Legacy Wars.
Power Rangers Legacy Wars initially launched in 2017, based on the 2017 film Power Rangers. Playable Street Fighter characters in the game include Ryu, Guile, Chun Li, Akuma, Cammy, and M. Bison. In other related news, the Power Rangers unofficially crossed over with Final Fantasy XV earlier this year when a Power Rangers mod set was released for the game. The mod allowed players to change Noctis and his mates into the Green, Red, Blue, and Black Rangers from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers along with their respective signature weapons.
