Street Fighter 6 Character Roster

Full Street Fighter 6 Character Roster Revealed, Features 18 Fighters at Launch

Capcom has revealed the full Street Fighter 6 character roster in a tweet almost out of nowhere that shows off the opening movie for the game’s World Tour mode. The full character roster at launch will feature 18 characters, with a mix of old and new Street Fighter combatants. The list confirms most of the roster that was supposedly leaked in early June, as reported by our sister site PlayStation Lifestyle, but it also slashes some of the characters on that list too.

List of Street Fighter 6 characters at launch

As revealed in a tweet on the official Street Fighter account, the launch roster will include the following (in alphabetical order):

  • Blanka
  • Cammy
  • Chun-Li
  • Dee Jay
  • Dhalsim
  • E. Honda
  • Guile
  • Jamie
  • JP
  • Jun
  • Ken
  • Kimberly
  • Lily
  • Luke
  • Manon
  • Marisa
  • Ryu
  • Zangief

Compared to the leaked list, Rashid, Juri, Ed, A.K.I, Mimi, and Akuma are nowhere to be seen while Jun and Manon are added in. That said, we may see those characters as DLC in later seasons. We’ve seen some gameplay footage of about half of the roster above, so we can expect Capcom to release videos showing how the other characters, like Marisa, Dee Jay, and Manon fight, in the future. The World Tour movie trailer shows off the game’s signature cool, graffiti street style that Capcom has nailed so far.

Yesterday, Capcom revealed what players should expect in World Tour mode, allowing you to create your own fighter avatar as they learn moves from characters like Luke and Chun-Li. You’ll be able to walk throughout the streets of Metro City using super moves to travel if you want, try on new clothes at various shops, and freely fight other characters. It will be interesting to see how far you will be able to mix and match the moves you learn from various masters. It also looks like you’ll be able to use your character in a side-scrolling beat-’em-up mode that feels similar to Tekken Force or Final Fight.

In other news, the Call of Duty DMZ mode has received a release date and will be free-to-play, and the Street Fighter 6 closed beta has been revealed will cross-play.
