New Ace Combat 7 Gameplay Trailer

New Ace Combat 7 Gameplay Trailer Released

Bandai Namco has released a new Ace Combat 7 gameplay trailer earlier today. The new trailer showcases never-before-seen gameplay of a specific mission from the upcoming game. The first ten minutes of Mission Seven: First Contact can be seen, featuring our first look at the exciting challenges awaiting gamers in the latest installment of the long-running flight simulation franchise.

In the new Ace Combat 7 gameplay trailer, the mission takes place in a setting filled with narrow canyons and nasty weather conditions. Players will have to utilize their best piloting skills to navigate through the dangerous terrain and hope they don’t make mistakes that will send them crashing into solid rock. By the looks of it, dynamic weather has improved thanks to the technology of current-gen platforms, with clear droplets of rain accumulating on the exterior of the player’s cockpit.

Additionally, players will not only have to battle enemy combatants, but also the unpredictable weather itself. Flying through a raging thunderstorm will make the player’s radar and systems go on the fritz, as well as obscuring visibility, increasing the difficulty of accomplishing the mission. It’s also interesting seeing UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), or drones, acting as enemies in Ace Combat 7. This might mean that the upcoming game will offer a wider variety of enemies compared to previous titles.

In other related news, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe recently announced an Ace Combat 7 Collector’s Edition. It will arrive with the game, Season Pass, and more goodies. However, it will also be exclusively available in European regions, with non-European regions slated to receive their own versions of the collector’s edition. Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown is slated to release for the PS4 and Xbox One on January 18, 2019, and on PC on February 1, 2019. In the meantime, check out the new Ace Combat 7 gameplay trailer featuring footage from the game’s seventh mission.
