Ace Combat 7 Collector’s Edition Announced for Europe

Bandai Namco has announced a massive Ace Combat 7 Collector’s Edition for Europe. It includes the game, Season Pass, and more. Unfortunately, however, there has been no word on whether this is exclusive to Europe, or if it will come to the USA and Japan as well. In Europe, at least, you’ll be able to buy the Ace Combat 7 Skies Unkown The Strangereal Edition on PS4, Xbox One, and PC when it releases next year.

Ace Combat 7 Collector's Edition

Pre-orders for the Ace Combat 7 Collector’s Edition are live now. The Ace Combat 7 Collector’s Edition is the perfect way for the uber-fans of the series to show their love to Bandai Namco. The Strangereal Edition of Ace Combat 7 comes with the game and its Season Pass, which includes “three aircraft, three additional missions, and a music player mode.”

Alongside this, however, is a 40 cm, 500 g diecast metal figuring of the Arsenal Bird (an aircraft within the game), an artbook which features 150 A4 pages of “exclusive illustrations, interviews, and 4 short novels written by writer-director Sunao Katabuchi.” But wait, there’s more: it also comes with a 3 cm metal pin and two “embroidered patches of Erusea and Usea crests.” All this content comes at a price, however, which is £139.99.

Ace Combat 7 is the latest installment of the long-running military aircraft shooter. You’ll take to the skies in a number of military aircraft, taking out the enemy and completing missions for your commander. According to the game’s official website, “Ace Combat 7 will blow players away with the evolution of its graphics engine.” Bandai Namco argues that this will benefit the game hugely: “Beautifully rendered cloud-filled skies and highly detailed cityscapes enhance the sense of unparalleled speed and set the stage for the most engaging aerial battles in the franchise’s storied 20-year history.”

Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown is due to release on PS4 and Xbox One on January 18, 2019, and on PC on February 1, 2019.
