The PlayStation 4 will launch sometime later this year, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
Just last night, Sony teased the world by announcing that they will be holding a meeting on February 20th to discuss "the future" of PlayStation, leading many to assume that this is when we'll see the PlayStation 4. Sources at the WSJ claim that this is in fact when we'll see Sony's new gaming machine, going on to say straight up that the device will launch in 2013.
The report goes on to add that Sony will place a larger emphasis in social gaming. Not only that, but apparently the company considered making the device download-only, with no drive whatsoever. Naturally, nothing is for certain at this point, since Sony has yet to confirm anything, so keep that in mind.
In the meantime, be sure to keep it locked to Game Revolution for all of your PS4 and next-gen news.
