You may not be comfortable finding them, but knowing where the Red Dead Redemption 2 alligator locations are could mean the difference between crafting a neat piece of kit, especially in Red Dead Online where animals are more scarce. So, if you’re looking at where to find alligators in RDR 2, head on down below. Just keep your distance – especially when it comes to the Legendary Alligator location.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Alligator Locations – Where to Find Alligators
As you can see from above, alligator locations in Red Dead Redemption 2 are concentrated across a very specific area towards the south-east of the map, specifically in the sections surrounding Saint-Denis. It is worthwhile looking around:
- The entirety of the Bayou Nwa
- Bluewater Marsh
- North of Lannahechee River
- Lagras
- The east coast of Saint Denis
As well as this, winding your way up the river that eventually leads out into the Lannahechee River can pay off in spades; just make sure you’re near the river banks as alligators don’t tend to find themselves near too many populated areas unless aggroed. You’re very much going to have to go off the beaten track for this one.
Legendary Alligator Location in Red Dead Redemption 2
The Legendary Alligator cannot be found until Chapter 6 of Red Dead Redemption 2. However, once you’ve polished off the mission “That’s Murfree Country” you can head on over to the white question mark in Lagras and begin tracking the beast. It’s worth it, too, as it drops the Legendary Alligator Skin worth a cool $50.
