Pokemon GO Fest Chicago 2019

Pokemon Go summer events for 2019 announced

Nintendo and the Pokemon Company are preparing some summer fun for fans of the hit augmented reality game Pokemon Go. A number of events, including three Pokemon Go Fest events have been announced for the summer.

The first of these events is a new Safari Zone event that’s taking place in the beautiful island of Sentosa in Singapore. This event follows up on the previous Safari Zone event that took place in Porto Alegre in Brazil. It is also the first Pokemon Go Safari Zone event that’s taking place in Southeast Asia.

The Singapore Safari Zone event will be taking place from Thursday, April 18, to Monday April 22. Sadly, ticket sales for the event have already closed.

Three summer Pokemon Go Fest events have also been announced. The first of these will see the event return to the windy city, Chicago, IL. Pokemon Go Fest Chicago takes place from Thursday, June 13 to Sunday, June 16. The next event after Chicago will take place in Europe, specifically in the city of Dortmund in Germany. Pokemon Go Fest Dortmund will take place from Thursday, July 4 to Sunday, July 7. The final announced Pokemon Go Fest event will take place somewhere in Asia. No location and dates for the event have been announced.

For players interested in attending these events, details on how to pick up tickets will be revealed in the following weeks. There will also be numerous ways for players unable to attend the event to participate in the festivities. Further details on this will be released in the future.

Finally, there will worldwide Community Day events that players can also participate in. The first of these Community Day events will take place next week on April 13. Subsequent events will take place on May 19, June 8, July 21, and August 3.

Being an augmented reality game, Pokemon Go players benefit a lot from these types of events. If these upcoming events prove to be successful, we can probably expect more of them in the future.
