Have you wondered why the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection is going to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive? Hideo Kojima blamed the size of the Xbox 360 disc on his online radio show.
"I'm sorry to say an Xbox 360 version isn't being released, because an Xbox 360 version of MGS4 hasn't gone on sale," Kojima said. "To explain the situation, the amount of data in Metal Gear Solid 4 is just too enormous."
Kojima further pointed out that since the Xbox 360 uses DVD discs instead of Blu-ray like the PS3, it would take up to seven Xbox 360 discs for MGS4 alone.
He went on to say that he'd love to release the collection again for the next Xbox console, but for now, "If we released a version on the Xbox 360 without MGS4, then it's not The Legacy Collection."
So there you have it. Sometimes, size really does matter. I'll let you all come up with your own jokes involving snakes.
