You’ll run into a ton of doors in Wolfenstein Youngblood that tell you they “require Laserkraftwerk” to open. While that’s not technically true, you’ll want to find the Laserkraftwerk anyway. When upgraded, it’s the strongest weapon in the game against armored targets, and it one or two shots most enemies in the game.
Below we’ll show you exactly where the Laserkraftwerk location is in Wolfenstein Youngblood. It’s not hard to get to, but you’ll get almost no clue of where it is until you’re almost right on top of it.

Where to find the Laserkraftwerk in Wolfenstein Youngblood
To locate the Laserkraftwerk in Wolfenstein Youngblood, you’ll need to head over to Little Berlin. You’ll also want to make sure you’ve hit level 20-25 at the very least because you’re going to need to enter Brother 1. This Nazi stronghold is full of high-level enemies, and just getting in can be a challenge if you’re under-leveled.
To start your journey, set “Raid Mission: Brother 1” as your active mission. This will lead you right to the front gate of Brother 1; all you need to do is follow the waypoint. You’ll meet resistance at the entrance, but as long as you’re adequately leveled, you should be able to take care of business.
Once through the gate, you’ll see Brother 1 and a Kontrollpunkt (control point). You need to open the entrance to the control point so you can slip into the prison and avoid the high-level Zerstorer guarding the area. Even if you’re level 25, you’ll likely have trouble with this Zerstorer as it’s a level IV or V model. However, as long as you’ve upgraded your cloak a few times, you’ll be able to sneak by.
Once the control point is opened, you can slip through the gate and head down into the prison. Follow the waypoint until you reach a set of double doors that take both sisters to open and pass through them into a reception area.
Your way will be blocked, and you’ll see a waypoint leading into a glassed off security booth. To get into the booth, you’ll just need to look up. You can use jump on the metal detector and ceiling fan in front of the booth then jump from them to the catwalk above. Nearby you’ll find a duct that will lead you into the booth.
Once in the booth, all you need to do is head to the nearby room, and you’ll find the Laserkraftwerk on the table. Pick it up, and you’re good to go.
Now that you have the Laserkraftwerk, you can destroy any door, crate, or other metal with the little laser icon on it. This will allow you to access areas that were previously barred to you.
You also have the ability to upgrade the Laserkraftwerk in Wolfenstein Youngblood just like the rest of your weapons. Of particular note are the transformer upgrades. These change the way the Laserkraftwerk operates and enhance its capabilities. Here’s what they do:
- Overcharge Transformer: Adds Super Charge. Enables the Laserkraftwerk to fire more energy per shot. Hold the fire button to activate.
- Automatic Transformer: Adds Full Automatic. Turns the Laserkraftwerk to a fully-automatic weapon.
- Railgun Transformer: Adds penetration. Fires a small Tungsten projectile at ultra-high velocity, penetrating the environment.
Of the three transformer upgrades, the Railgun Transformer is the most effective. Overcharge does extra damage, but takes time to charge and wastes ammo. Automatic Transformer lets you fire faster, but doesn’t give you the extra ammo to make that a practical option. With the Railgun Transformer, you can penetrate multiple enemies, which doesn’t cost more ammo but increases the Laserkraftwerk’s lethality.
