The Cowboy Bebop Netflix series casts Elena Satine to play Julia

The Cowboy Bebop Netflix live-action series has found its Julia

The cast for the live-action adaptation of the Cowboy Bebop Netflix anime series is finally falling into place. Elena Satine, who is known for her role in Strange Angel, has been cast to play Julia.

Julia’s official character description reads “”With a sultry beauty and a voice to die for, Julia is the dream-like object of Spike Spiegel’s desire. She struggles to survive in a violent world.”

ALSO: Anime like Demon Slayer with ridiculously awesome fight scenes

Satine will star alongside John Cho (Star Trek and Searching), who plays protagonist Spike Spiegel, with Mustafa Shakir (Brawl in Cell Block 99) playing his partner Jet Black. Alex Hassell (Two Down) plays the role of Vicious, while Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) takes on the role of Faye Valentine. A few noteworthy spots still need to be filled, including Ed, the carefree and eccentric elite hacker prodigy from Earth, and Ein, a Welsh Corgi.

Anime fans probably know very well who Julia is. She was a member of the Red Dragon Syndicate along with her boyfriend Vicious, but ended up in an affair with Spike. Julia and Spike planned on leaving the Syndicate, but Vicious discovered their intentions and devised a plan to kill Spike, who ends up faking his death. Several years later, Julia comes out of hiding and reunites with Spike, with their relationship turning into a crucial plot for the second half of the series.
