Cowboy Bebop Netflix production

Cowboy Bebop Netflix production begins, first look at Ein

The Cowboy Bebop Netflix production has started, and it did so in style, with a very special host welcoming the fans of the popular anime. The anticipated live-action adaptation kept some of its cast members under wraps, one of them being the Corgi Ein.

To celebrate the first day on set, Netflix released an out-of-the-box trailer where Ein is finally revealed to the public. First reactions from the fans are positive, citing the resemblance with its anime counterpart, and putting to rest the rumors that the production team was considering another dog breed to play the role of Ein.

As user NXOnNetflix says, the trailer that celebrates the start of the Cowboy Bebop Netflix production is shot in Corgi-vision, which is a way of saying that we are seeing through Ein’s eyes as he walks around the set. A few flights of stairs later, Ein enters the meeting room where some of the cast members are waiting. A warm reception ensues, as they call Ein cute and quench his thirst.

Clearly unfazed by all the attention, Ein looks to the side as Cho offers him a highlighter. Ein seems to be a dog on top of his craft, so he doesn’t need to take any notes. Unfortunately, the trailer is cut short before we know if he accepted the offer for a coffee or not.

The Cowboy Bebop Netflix live-action series stars John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, and Alex Hassell as Vicious. Julia was one of the latest characters to be cast, with Strange Angel’s Elena Satine securing the part.

Netflix picked up the rights for a live-action Cowboy Bebop television series in November 2018. The show will run for 10 episodes, with the director of the anime, Shinichiro Watanabe, serving as a consultant on the project.
