Fish Out Of Water Judges FAQ

Each of the five crab judges in Fish Out of Water have different tastes and personalities. Some like just skips and some like just distance. Knowing these differences will help you secure a well-rounded from each of the crabs. High scores across the board are hard to achieve, but topping your friends on the leaderboard is worth it.

Distance Dorothy - Dorothy is the first judge on the left. She's got a bow and is orange and as her name implies, she really likes long-distance throws. Good fish to use for maximizing your Dorothy score are Micro, Finlay, and Errol.

Reasonable Re - Re understands the challenges of modern fish-flinging. She looks at every aspect of your throw and scores you according to the distance, skips, and weather. If it's stormy out, Re will grade you easier. Great conditions mean Re has great expectations. Use different fish to score highly in each category to impress Re.

Skippy Steve - Steve loves skips. He likes big skips, small skips, long skips, short skips and everything in between. If you want to score highly with the middlest judge in blue, you need to have a high skip tally. Steve scores according to weather like Re. Good fish to use for a high Steve score include Micro, Rocket, and Brothers.

Nice Natalie - I wouldn't worry about scoring highly with Natalie as her name plainly states that she likes to give As for effort. As long as you don't heinously screw up your throws, Natalie will give you a high score in keeping with your overall output. Get good distance, a decent amount of skips, and Natalie won't give you trouble.

Hard To Please Harwood - This guy will give you a bad score no matter what. If you feel like you deserved a 9, he'll give you a seven. Underperform and you'll feel his wrath with a incredibly low score, like a 3. Luckily, there are crystals that combine to give you a perfect 10 from Harwood. Use those if you feel like your first two throws went splendidly and you want to outscore everyone the leaderboard that day.
