Tell GR | What is the worst game controller ever?

There are plenty of good game controllers out there: the Xbox One Elite, the DualShock 4, and the GameCube controller to name but a few. However, the games industry has also thrown out some real stinkers in its time. But what is the worst game controller ever?

The GameRevolution editorial team shared our thoughts below, but now we want to hear from you! Share your opinions in the comments section, and air your thoughts on what YOU think is the most pitiful controller the games industry has ever seen.

Paul Tamburro, executive editor: “The Nintendo 64 controller is tough to beat, though as I didn’t own an N64 back in the day, it didn’t annoy me too much. The controller I spent the most time with that I also hated was the original ‘Duke’ controller for the Xbox. Completely unergonomic and impossible to hold in my embarrassingly small hands, I spent hours upon hours with this thing and I’m surprised my joints came out unscathed.”

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “The Atari Jaguar controller is pretty tough. It wasn’t a bad idea to have a huge keypad at the bottom but it was poor execution and made some games almost impossible to play.”

Michael Leri, features editor: “The N64 controller was made for crab people that must have gone extinct before us because there’s no way it was made for humans. The three-pronged controlled looks goofy and it’s got the weirdest, most unnatural button placement. Its games have not aged well either and that is partly due to the bizarre alien artifact controller they have to be played with. The DualShock has aged well and even though it is for tiny human hands, but at least it is for human hands. “
