Is there a hard mode Trophy in Death Stranding?
I’ve got great news for those of you looking to complete Death Stranding 100% and secure that Platinum Trophy for your collection! There is no hard mode Trophy in this game, meaning you won’t need to put yourself through the pain of tougher difficulties. Of course, you could still try it for the challenge… but it isn’t mandatory for that Platinum reward.

While completing Death Stranding on hard mode isn’t necessary for your PS4 Trophy completion, that isn’t to say that developer Kojima Productions hasn’t hidden something behind that tougher variant. If it’s anything like Hideo Kojima’s past games, tougher difficulties could hold some exclusive secrets that only the most hardcore players will find.
If the allure of secret items doesn’t do anything for you, and you’re just after that Death Stranding Platinum Trophy, then just stick with whatever difficulty you feel suits you. Though I will say that playing on too easy a difficult can spoil what are usually intense moments of the game. Do what you gotta do, but try not to ruin the experience for yourself!
