If you play Red Dead Online via PC, PS4, or Xbox One there’s a new Red Dead Redemption 2 update today just waiting to be downloaded.

According to online reports, the download file size you can expect to find depends on your platform of choice and can vary quite wildly:

Red Dead Redemption 2 1.19 update size

  • PC — ~700 MB
  • PS4 — ~600 MB
  • Xbox One — ~3 GB

That’s a huge difference for Xbox One specifically, though, unfortunately, we don’t have any official news on the content of the patch at the time of writing. Similarly, it isn’t currently known when the new RDR2 update will release for Google Stadia. We’ll update this guide when more information becomes available with regard to these lingering questions.

Reports are surfacing that PlayStation 4 systems list the content of patch 1.19 in a very familiar fashion: “General stability fixes and improvements.” This is relatively standard fare, though not much help for those of us in search of specifics. 600 MB seems significant for some mere bug fixes, though it could still potentially be plausible. That might not serve to explain the larger Xbox One file size, however.

The complete Red Dead Redemption 2 1.19 update patch notes remain a mystery for now, though we can all be glad of the newly-implemented stability improvements regardless. Again, we’ll be back to update this guide if and when the full list of changes is made public.
