This week’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare update brings back Cabin Fever playlist, a 6v6 mode featuring maps with an emphasis on short and medium-range combat. Cabin Fever has players facing off in Team Deathmatch, Domination, Headquarters, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint, all team-based modes. The week’s update also removes a few playlists, which we’ll discuss below.
What are the Cabin Fever maps in Modern Warfare?
Cabin Fever includes a rotation of five different maps, all of which encourage fast-paced gameplay with plenty of movement.

The Cabin Fever playlist maps are:
- Gun Runner
- Hackney Yard
- Rust
- Shipment
- Shoot House
If you’re trying to complete challenges, hitting up this playlist is a good idea. All these maps encourage confrontation, which makes getting kills a breeze. I’d love if Infinity Ward just made Shipment 24/7 a permanent playlist, but I suppose Cabin Fever is pretty decent.
A playlist update is rolling out now across all platforms:
– Added Cranked (replaces Drop Zone)
– Cabin Fever 24/7 (Shipment, Rust, Shoot House, Hackney Yard, and Hideout)
– Removing Stir Crazy playlist
– Removing Realism Ground War

What modes are in Cabin Fever in Modern Warfare?
Cabin Fever is a team-centric playlist, so you’ll find modes here that emphasize teamwork (obviously).
The modes in the Cabin Fever playlist are:
- Domination
- Hardpoint
- Headquarters
- Kill Confirmed
- Team Deathmatch
However, with these maps, you’re really just going to be doing your own thing. Has anyone ever worked as a team on Shipment? Unfortunately, the inclusion of Headquarters throws the brakes on what should be a frantic, action-packed playlist. Not sure why they always include a mode that prevents respawns in these sorts of playlists, but who am I to question it?
What playlists left Modern Warfare this week?
Unfortunately, in exchange for Cabin Fever, we had to lose a few things.
The following has been removed in this week’s update:
- Stir Crazy
- Realism Ground War
- Aniyah Palace (Ground War)
A pretty fair trade if you ask me.
