Dead by Daylight Silent Hill Update 11

Dead By Daylight Silent Hill crossover brings Pyramid Head and Heather Mason to the game in Chapter 16 update

Silent Hill returns in the Dead by Daylight Chapter 16 update. Behaviour Interactive and Konami have joined forces to bring Pyramid Head, Heather Mason, and Midwich Elementary School to the asymmetric 4-v-1 horror multiplayer hit. This crossover kicks off the 4th anniversary of Dead by Daylight and marks the return of the Silent Hill franchise after a six-year hiatus.

The last confirmed Silent Hill project to see the light was the fantastic P.T. demo, which served as a teaser for the now-canceled Silent Hills. While rumors have abounded over the years as to the future of the franchise, this is the first project to come to fruition. As part of the crossover, Dead by Daylight fans can play as the new survivor, Heather Mason, or the new Killer, Pyramid Head (aka The Executioner). The update also brings a new map, the iconic Midwich Elementary School, a key location in the original Silent Hill.

The Chapter 16 update will also bring some new cosmetic options to the game. Both Heather and Pyramid Head will have original costumes created, especially for Dead by Daylight. In addition to those, a new skin type will debut with Heather: Legendary Skins. Legendary skins will allow players to replace a survivor’s model with an entirely different character, while still retaining the abilities of the original survivor. When the update goes live, you’ll have the option to purchase the first Legendary Skin, Lisa Garland, which, when equipped, will change Heather into the nurse from the original game.

As an additional surprise, Behaviour Interactive has gone the extra mile for this update with some new tunes. These songs are composed by none other than Akira Yamaoka, who produced the music for the following Silent Hill games:

  • Silent Hill
  • Silent Hill 2
  • Silent Hill 3
  • Silent Hill 4: The Room
  • Silent Hill: Origins
  • Silent Hill: Homecoming
  • Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Yamaoka’s iconic sound will no doubt add to the haunting atmosphere of Midwich Elementary.
