The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti release date is almost upon us, with the latest version of Nvidia’s popular graphics card coming this month. The more expensive GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is out today, June 3, but the RTX 3070 Ti launch date isn’t too far behind. When exactly can Nvidia fans buy the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and how much will it cost?
When is the RTX 3070 Ti release date and time?
The RTX 3070 release date and time is June 10 at 6 AM PT/2 PM BST.
While the above date has been confirmed by Nvidia, as it’s a week from the launch of the RTX 3080 Ti, the release time is currently an estimate. It will likely be 6 AM PT/2 PM BST, which is the time the 3080 Ti and previous 3000 series cards went on. The week separating the two new cards is a far tighter turnaround than the gap between the RTX 3080 and 3070, which was a full month apart.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will cost £529 / $599 when it becomes available next week, which is around $100 more expensive than the current RTX 3070 that went for sale in October 2020. Still, that’s vastly cheaper than the RTX 3080 Ti, which costs twice as much at £1049 / $1199, and a third as much as the costly RTX 3090. The 3070 Ti may be a less powerful card in comparison, but it’s certainly no slouch.
Regarding the specs, the RTX 3070 Ti comes with 8GB of memory, the same amount as the RTX 3070. However, it’s the better and faster GDDR6X variety rather than GDDR6 from the original 3070, the same type that can be found in the 3080 and 3080 Ti.
However, if anyone wants to buy one they better get it quick, since there are still shortages of the RTX 3080 since it sold out immediately after pre-orders opened up, with scalpers charging up to $75,000 for one. It all makes us wonder why pre-orders like this exist in the first place since they only seem to encourage people like this and anger regular customers.
